Writes that 'the two pads' were left by Mr Waite of Richmond and 'were blooded on Saturday by his direction'; has now sent them to Wimpole and explains that the delay was because they had not recovered from their previous journey; describes the foal born to the chestnut mare; adds that he has been ill but will call on Lady Hewett with the earl's condolences as soon as he is well.
