Content DescriptionUndertakes to let the brewer know that there will be no more candle-making; writes that Mr Pridmore is on his way to Down Hall and will await the arrival of the circular sashes; reports a conversation with Mr Smith at Royston market and lists in detail the conditions on which he is prepared to take Kingston Wood; mentions that it means that Mr Smith would have 30 more acres of land under cultivation than Mr Kimpton has, but 'one 3d of the same to lye fallow every third year'.

Recommends Mr Smith as a tenant but writes that he would prefer him to take the farm for 15 or 21 years rather than nine; details the offer made by Cossen as to a barn and other buildings which Smith wants erected, and as to his other demands; has assured him that collecting the quit rents will be no problem, but writes that no agreement was reached; mentions the health of Mr Godfrey.
