Sends instructions from 'your Lady' [Henrietta, Lady Harley]; wishes him to dismiss Thomas Thornton from her service; stresses that it is because of his great age and is to allow him to spend his last years in peace as a reward for his years of devoted service; allows him an annuity of £8 to be paid quarterly, and a payment of £5 for a suit of clothes.
