Reports that there is no news of any opposition to Sir Robert Clark; writes that Mr Pridmore has supervised the painting of the windows in an attempt to keep out the rain; undertakes to press on with the work at the reservoir now that the pipes and sluices are down; has been spending much time in the ploughing of parts of the Avenue for the sowing of oats and grass; adds that Mrs Cole, wife of the gardener, is very ill.
