Content DescriptionWrites that Mr Hubbert has asked for his dovehouse to be clayed, but points out that such work is usually done at the expense of the tenant; asks for instructions; reports that Mr Wall has been visiting Barbara every day, who is still in bed but feeling better; has received very little rent from the tenants and cannot pay the workmen (40 of whom are labouring at the reservoir); suggests that Mr Hubbert might be asked to do the work himself but submit a bill, as he is a freeholder and there is an election coming.
