Content DescriptionHas heard that the Earl of Orford will endorse Sir Robert Clark's candidature if he stands; writes that he visited Dr and Mrs Tudway who send their duty; reports a violent attack carried out on Barbara the housemaid by James Kelly; explains that the argument had been brewing a long time; writes that she is bruised all over and cannot move in bed; adds that she was bled by Mrs Hubbert, and asked for Mr Wall the apothecary who says that he is concerned about the lumps on her head and is fearful of bleeding her again as she is so weak; expresses his satisfaction with her diligence but explains that her zeal to have things done properly sometimes leads to conflict with others; is sending Kelly to London.
