Content DescriptionWrites that he has asked Mr Glover to speak to the tenants from which he collects rents, and to any tradesmen who might be favourable, about their voting in the coming county election; has spoken to Jabez Conder who thinks he might not vote because of the matter of conscience; mentions that Thomas Nixson had been spoken to by Sir George Downing, but that he too is not committing himself.

Writes that Samuel Denton and another have arrived from Nottinghamshire and have been shown the reservoir and what needs to be done to make the head; has also showed them the spot where another pond is proposed to be made which can be seen from the bowling green; adds that they agreed to move the soil at 5½d per cubic yard, and asked for wheel barrows, provisions for horses, and a room at the Grange; has paid the men £6 for their journey and for their present lodgings at the Tigar Inn.
