Refers to the death of Mr Gill; transcribes an account of his arrears; reassures Mrs Gill that she will be treated well by Lord Harley if she finds she cannot keep the farm; suggests that Mr Brown should make an investigation into Mr Gill's affairs and should try to arrange the payment of the arrears; gives orders as to bricks for the dairy floor 'at Norman's House'; adds that the harvest in Nottinghamshire has been a good one.
