Refers to a case relating to the Church and involving 'Vernon'; also refers to 'Gleadthorpe Cause' and asks Bannister to talk with William Thomas and ask him to search out Dugdale's 'Monasticum' and see what it says in there about Gleadthorpe being part of Welbeck Abbey'; hopes that Bannister will be able to assist in investigations into the manorial courts.
Letter is very damaged with much text loss.
