Reports that he discovered some 'coopers ware' in Yorkshire and had a man arrested, who then 'made his escape by breaking out at a chamber window'; the constable has been ordered to catch the man and bring him to the next quarter sessions; reports a conversation with Mr Hayford about the cordwood which he has purchased; writes that he has arranged to meet the Sibthorp tenants later in the month to take accounts of what wood they need.
