Content DescriptionAsks for Bristowe's legal opinion on various details concerning the rights and conduct of a steward employed as receiver of rents for a widow in right of her only daughter.

Subjoined letter from William Wenman explains that although he already thinks he knows the answers to the above questions, he needs Bristowe's opinion; thanks him for all his hospitality; asks that he have his clerk prepare the accounts so that he [Wenman] might audit them.

In copy letter to Mr Bristowe, the Countess of Oxford expresses her pleasure at Bristowe's recovery; knows that Bristowe will execute his duty to her and Lord Oxford faithfully as he has done before; writes that she is aware that harassment from their 'adversaries' agents is causing him some trouble and so wishes to raise his salary.

Some of letter is damaged, with text loss.
