Content Description | Asks for Bristowe's legal opinion on various details concerning the rights and conduct of a steward employed as receiver of rents for a widow in right of her only daughter.
Subjoined letter from William Wenman explains that although he already thinks he knows the answers to the above questions, he needs Bristowe's opinion; thanks him for all his hospitality; asks that he have his clerk prepare the accounts so that he [Wenman] might audit them.
In copy letter to Mr Bristowe, the Countess of Oxford expresses her pleasure at Bristowe's recovery; knows that Bristowe will execute his duty to her and Lord Oxford faithfully as he has done before; writes that she is aware that harassment from their 'adversaries' agents is causing him some trouble and so wishes to raise his salary.
