Content DescriptionHad sealed his last letter of the same date [Pl C 1/250] when Lord Harley's arrived; reiterates that his cause would be helped if he had the vouchers from his first account, which would prove his case against the Duchess [of Newcastle]; could call at Wimp[o]le for them on the 23rd, or suggests that they be sent to him at the White Lyon in Nottingham; writes that Lord Harley will be told more by Mr Lee's son when he arrives at Gestingthorpe; details various sums of money paid to Sir Robert Child on Lord Harley's account; reports that the balance at last Midsummer is £5 6s 8d; states that Robert Banks only paid £50; hopes to do more, but writes that the stress of defending himself against 'her Grace' is very great.
