Content DescriptionRefers in considerable detail to the loyalty of Mr Bristowe; hopes to have removed all his false representations of the 'cause' and sends a copy of the case with Mr Bristowe's answer to it [Pl C 1/26]; believes that that Bristowe will be faithful and will prefer to follow the Harleys rather than Lord Pelham; reports that Bristowe's collection is almost as big as Mr Gace's but his salary is a lot less, which is why the late duke did so much for his family; sends a draft of a letter for Lady Harley to write to Bristowe if she thinks it proper; wants a bond of indemnity put down on him [Wenman] to give Bristowe; thinks Bristowe will continue to support Harley; encloses a letter from Mr Hewett to Wenman, which he asks that Harley pass back to him.
