Content DescriptionThanks him for Mr Banks' venison warrant; Mr Banks' father reports that his nephew Robert will pay some money while he is in town; the legal business with the Duchess [of Newcastle] is preventing a meeting with Lord Harley; reports that Mr Dixon has filed a bill in Chancery in his [Wenman's] name and explains the reasoning behind this; mentions that the case is about Cavendish rents received by him [Wenman] and paid to Lord Harley; requests the voucher for £10 paid to Mr Wickham the attorney in 1713, in connection with a suit involving Mr Gace; adds that there are vital papers at Wimple which will imminently be needed for his defence if the Duchess gets a trial at the next assizes in Nottingham.

Writes that Charles Palmer's wife is seeking medical attention in town from Dr Heathcote; explains that they are in a financial predicament as they are owed money by the Duchess; Mrs Palmer asks Lord Harley for £20 out of her husband's wages.
