Content DescriptionEncloses a letter from Mr Soresby [not present] and asks for instructions; reports the arrest of Mr Joseph Gace on the suit of Mrs Wickham, the widow of an attorney from Caster in Lincolnshire, who claims that money was due to her husband from the late Duke; has assured Mr Gace by letter that the arrest was wrongful and that he will be supported; adds that Lady Frances Spencer [later Countess of Carlisle] has left the Duchess [Margaret, Duchess of Newcastle] and gone to her father.
