Content DescriptionHas received the earl's commands; gives considerable detail about the land that Brigadier Sutton rents at Lindhurst; explains the conditions of Sutton's present lease; comments on the lease suggested by 2 inhabitants of a neighbouring estate to the late duke [of Newcastle]; describes what they might offer the brigadier and remarks on the merits of ensuring that tenant pay for their own repairs; comments on the availability and price of wood for the brigadier.

Adds that he [Wenman] is going to the funeral of Will Tunstall today who died the Thursday before and is buried at the expense of Lord Scarsdale; asks the earl's permission to have a small memorial to Tunstall; explains that Dr Cox and Dr Standfast will write the epitaph.
