Content DescriptionHas received Harley's letter but adds that the letter from Caxton never came to hand; apologises for being so careless as to write part of his letter on the back of that bill for £500; sends the duplicate of it in case Harley needs it, but requests that he return it as it is Wenman's voucher; has ordered £100 to be paid to Mr 'Alderman' Child for Harley's accounts, and hopes by next Saturday's post to send a bill for £200 more; has had daily accounts of false votes in their recent county poll, so that it is widely believed that the old members had a majority of 200 freeholders.
