Content Description | Has received orders to buy hay for the Clipstone Park deer, and that it be put down in the most suitable place; explains that Harley wants the best hay and that he [Monk] would be happy if Palmer wishes to get hold of some himself.
Letter dated 24 Jan. 1715.
In letter on reverse to Mr Monk, Digby mentions that he knows the hay has been ordered, but suggests that there is no point in getting it until the barns are repaired; has written to Lord Harley to let him know that he wants him [Monk] to repair the barns immediately; fears that if something is not done soon there will not be one buck left in the park; thinks that they will need more hay than has been ordered. |
