Content DescriptionWrite that he has taken a copy of the enclosed rentals and that the chief rentals are given in gross; will make an account of the arrears and dispatches as soon as he can, but explains that it will take time to look into the Seq[uesto]r's accounts to see what they received from Derbyshire and Staffordshire; encloses a letter [not present] for Mr Clay for Chesterfield courts which Mr Soresby wanted him to lay before Harley.

Letter is damaged, with text loss; signature at foot of letter has been partially lost.

Letter dated Friday 8 February; year given is based on this date, 1715 being the New Style date.
