Content DescriptionSlides include photographs of a man [probably Peter Mansfield] lying on a home-made patient bed, with the lower half of his body inside a large yellow magnet [the original 0.15 T Oxford Instruments magnet] fitted with an aluminium screen; and photographs of equipment used in the scanning process [probably the stepper motor and gears used to rotate gradients for projection reconstruction imaging, which were in use for a few years from around 1980].
