Content DescriptionComplains that he has not received any instructions from the Secretary of State and does not know what to do about the Duke of Wolfenbuttel's demands, the Hanoverian and Hessian prisoners and Nova Scotia; also complains that he has heard nothing about the Staffordshire Riots from the Duke of Bedford so could not give a proper account to the King; reports that he has heard about the treasonable student behaviour at Christ Church as the Solicitor General sent him a full account; observes that the University of Cambridge has accepted all their regulations by the intervention of his friend Mr Hubbard of Emanuel; hopes that the 'principal authors of these Jacobite Riots are like to be discovered'.
