Content DescriptionComments on arrival in good health of Lord Tavistock; reports that the Lord Chancellor of Ireland informs him the King will not permit him [Galway] to retire; states that he will write to inform him that despite his inclinations he will not do so at present, but will request that he be allowed to do so as soon as appropriate; notes his affection for the King and his desire to do nothing that would displease him; notes the Chancellor's additional comments that the King is very pleased with him [Galway] and states that if Parliament withdraws the grants, he will ask for something else if there is anything else to be given; refers to his own patience and need for few honours.
