Admin History | Haydon Luke graduated in English with American Studies in 1964. During his time at the University (1961-64) he was taking photographs for the student newspaper 'Gongster', and for the student theatre company, Dramsoc. He was also a resident at Wortley Hall. Over the years he has gifted ephemera, printed materials (ACC 2903), and photographs, which have been used in John Beckett's book and other alumni publications/communications. |
Custodial History | The photographs and negatives were gifted to the University by Haydon Luke in several batches and included printed materials which were transferred to the University of Nottingham special collection of printed materials (UONC). |

The photographs reflect the photographer's involvement in various aspects of student life particularly including drama but also present are photos of sporting activities and life in Wortley Hall (University of Nottingham Hall of Residence). Friends of the photographer and fellow actors are identified by name in the accompanying lists or on the reverse of the prints.
