Content Description2 CDs containing digital scans of photographs from the 1960s (with 1 photo from 2014) relating to the Technical Committee, Electrical Engineering students, the University Air Squadron and the University campus, and a recruiting film for the Technical Committee 1964. 35 photos in total.

JAL015: 2014 Trent Building; photographer RJS; The lighting bridge at the side of the stage (now cordoned off by Health and Safety) was where Tech Comm controlled the lighting for plays etc. It was the tradition that whoever was in charge of lighting a play wrote their name in chalk on the board. Fifty years later they were still there.

JAL020 to JAL037 are scans of black and white photographs (photographer RJS) taken in the 1960s of scenes around the campus plus deer [presumably at nearby Wollaton Hall] and scenes from a boat race.

NUP/46/3

Copy of the 1964 Tech Comm recruiting film, for which Rob Stephens did the voiceover. The film was shown before the main item at Union Film Nights (most Saturdays) and was lost for many years before being re-mastered. It is 3 mins long, in black and white.
