| Admin History | NUP is a collection of photographs mainly acquired from alumni, former staff, and individual people. Some of the photographs are copies of originals still held privately by individuals or organisations. This is in contrast to the UMP collection, which contains photographs mainly collected by University departments. The photographs in NUP were taken or collected by a wide variety of different people and cover a range of dates and subjects.
The University of Nottingham is very grateful for all those who have donated photographs and other documents for the collection. We are actively collecting photographs relating to the University and would particularly welcome photographs relating to student life at all campuses (especially China and Malaysia). We are particularly lacking photographs from the 1970s onwards and can accept photographs in many formats including negatives, slides, born digital photos taken on digital cameras and high quality scans of photographic prints. | Description | The content of the photographs is wide-ranging, and reflects the variety of images taken or collected by particular individuals. Many photographs are of places on campus, and groups of students and staff, including sports teams and other clubs and societies. |
