Content DescriptionDraft of final concord stating that David Preston and Hugo Preston of Broxtowe and Isabel, Hugo's wife hold of Sir Richard Illingworth 3 messuages, 11 tofts, 10 and 1/2 bovates of land, 200 acres of land, 40 acres of meadow, 100 acres of wood, 400 acres of pasture and 3 shillings rent with appurtenances in Kirkby Woodhouse and Annesley Woodhouse; (Richard gives the king 41 against [a fine] and...is a concord) namely that David, Hugo and Isabel recognise the said tenements with appurtenances to be the right of the said Richard.

Terms: David, Hugo and Isabel and her heirs release all claims in perpetuity to the said Richard and his heirs and warrant.

Date: Example of handwriting; David Preston was enfeoffed with the manors of Kirkby Woodhouse and Annesley in 1429 (see Mi D 201). Sir Richard Illingworth appears as knight, J.P. Surrey 1461-6 (Calendar Patent Rolls 1461-7, p 573) died 1476 (Foss, iv. 431-2, C. Brown, Notts. Worthies (1882), p 69)
