Lease from (1) to (2) of the bottom hard coal seam and bottom soft coal seam situated beneath lands belonging to (1) in the parishes of Wollaton, Radford, Lenton, Beeston, Trowell and Bilborough [edged green on attached plan]. Also the mines edged pink on attached plan. Also seams of coal running beneath several highways.
Contains various covenants and restrictions concerning the working of the coal seams.
Rent: £80 per acre per year. A rent of not less than £1000 to be paid in the third year, not less than £2000 in the fourth year, and not less than £3000 in the fifth year.
Plan: Shows area of leased edged pink and blue in the parishes of Wollaton, Radford, Lenton, Beeston, Trowell and Bilborough. Area around Wollaton Hall is hatched in red and is labelled "pillar of coal to be left" [crossed through]. Shows roads and railway lines.
