|Content Description||Three sets of the same four sheets of the following 1914/1915 edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch sheets: Nottinghamshire XLI.4, XLI.8, XLII.1 and XLII.5.|
All maps are stamped by Thurgood, Martin & Eve, Chartered Surveyors.
Mi 3 E 297/8/1-4: Set dated 5 Sep. 1924. Wollaton Park edged in pink. Area of land to the north of Wollaton Park, between the Nottingham to Ilkeston road and Long Plantation is edged in brown.
Mi 3 E 297/9/1-4: Set dated 6 Oct. 1924. Wollaton Park edged pink. Area of land between Ilkeston Road and Long Plantation edged green. Also has an area around Wollaton Hall and outbuildings hatched in red [perhaps shows the pillar of coal left unworked to prevent subsidence damage?]. All plans labelled 'No. 1'.
Mi 3 E 297/10/1-4: As set above.
Note that these plans were probably drawn up in connection with the sale of the Wollaton Estate in 1925.
