Content Description | Colour slides used in lectures and courses led by Philip Lyth. Some of the slides were taken during field trips with his students. The box is arranged partly according to the course (each of which was based around the local history and parish boundaries of the area in question) and partly according to subject matter:
Slides used at Blyth WEA course, 1979-1980; [see MS 823/2/10 for lecture notes];
Slides used at Oxton WEA course, 1977-1981; [see MS 823/2/12 for lecture notes];
Slides used at Radcliffe-on-Trent WEA course, 1981; [see MS 823/2/12 for lecture notes];
Slides relating to Car Colston, Epperstone, Halam, Edingley and Farnsfield;
Slides used at Epperstone WEA course, 1986; [see MS 823/2/12 for lecture notes];
Miscellaneous slides including a series showing mills along the Dover Beck river.
Most of the slides are labelled with a description, and numbered PB 1-200. There is a key to the slides written inside the box. |
