Content Description | Colour slides showing British agricultural machinery and equipment, measures, items from farmhouse kitchens, artefacts from dairies, and items relating to home industry and crafts, predominantly 18th-19th centuries. Most of the slides depict items which formed part of the collection at Brackenhurst agricultural museum [run by Philip Lyth] or which were owned by Philip Lyth personally. Some others were taken at folk museums including Erddig in north Wales. A few are commercially produced slides showing items at the York Castle Museum.
Most of the slides are labelled with a description and numbered AA 1-100. There is a key to the slides written inside the box. |
