|Admin History||Valerie Stevens (née Deans) was a student at the University of Nottingham. She was a member of the University of Nottingham Dramatic Society, and the Nottingham University Shakespearean Company, appearing in the cast of a number of productions and co-producing the play 'Sport of My Mad Mother' jointly with Anthony Burkett. In 1961 she went to Germany with the Shakespearean Company on a week-long tour of 'The Taming of the Shrew'. Stevens and Burkett were also members of the Everyman Club, a theatre company formed in 1958 with members from both the University and the city of Nottingham. This perhaps became the Nottingham Theatre Club, of which Stevens and Burkett were also members.|
