Content DescriptionEncloses a letter from D.H. Lawrence [not present]; will send him the order forms when received from Lawrence to whom she has suggested she should hold back 100 copies of the book ['Lady Chatterley's Lover'] to be offered for sale later for 'quite a large sum'; supposes it will be a 'kind of tour de force' and asks for Gomme's opinion on all this and whether he is interested in handling the sale of the 100 copies; suggests increasing the sale price per copy if the book makes an 'impolite or enthusiastic stir'; explains that Lawrence is having a quantity of the unexpurgated version printed in Florence and sold by order forms for ten dollars each; is sure these will be worth far more later to collectors.
