Content Description
Refers briefly to items in his previous letters; thinks 'Mornings in Mexico' and 'Pansies' are two of the books published by [Alfred] Knopf which are now out of print; promises to send him [Witter] Bynner's book ['Journey with Genius - Recollections and Reflections Concerning the D.H. Lawrences']; remarks that it puts her in a 'very rosy light (for a change)' and has 'stirred up' a lot of interest, with 18 to 20 people [calling] a day; has heard from Houghton Mifflin about her proposed book which she hopes to finish the following winter; mentions that Harry Moore visited; comments on the number of books about 'L' and how every one of the writers thinks 'he is the one who understood him - and nobody else'; confirms that she was not asked about the 'Laughlin publications' (see La Mc 2/1/122).
States that Mabel [Dodge] Luhan has donated all her Lawrence material to Yale [University]; wonders if Pollinger would like to help her sell L's MSS - the 3 'Lady C' and all'; thinks Yale might approach her. Adds that she will ask Bynner if he wants Pollinger to publish his book in England.
Marginal comments in another hand.
