Discusses their Christmas activities, including her husband Jack requiring and operation to remove his tubercular glands. States that they are claiming compensation from the Army due to so many servicemen suffering similar recurrent illness. News that her brother David received 2nd Class Hons in History and has a job as a Junior Form Master at Ashby-de-la-Zouch Grammar School. Signed 'Yours J.'

Recipient is unknown. References to family/associates called 'Arthur' who is suffering from a recurrent illness, and 'K.' who is studying for her exams.
