Admin HistoryThe early development of the Association cannot be traced, but it is known that it amalgamated with the National Union of Hosiery and Knitwear Workers in 1969. At this time it had a membership of 3,200 and was one of the largest local societies representing hosiery workers.
Custodial HistoryThe records were given to Nottingham University Library by the Secretary of the Association in 1957.
DescriptionThe records consist solely of minutes from the Association (1931-60) and related bodies, including Basford and District associations (1874-1927).
