Admin HistoryThe collection was donated to the Library in 1988 by Prof. (then Dr) D. K. Whynes. It consists of works by the writer H. G. Wells (1866-1946).
Custodial HistoryThe collection was donated to the University Library in 1988. Occasional purchases are made to fills gaps in the holdings. Although primarily a collection of first editions, the concern has been to provide comprehensive coverage, and some of the items in question have been acquired as second-hand.
DescriptionThe Collection is not limited to any particular genre, but includes works which demonstrates the breadth of Wells' output as a writer.
