NIACE is a non-governmental organisation and a registered charity with headquarters in Leicester and Cardiff. |
| Custodial History | NIACE's resource library was given to The University of Nottingham in 1991. This collection, containing what is deemed to be rarer printed items acquired by the institute, was transferred to The University of Nottingham's Department of Manuscripts and Special Collections in June 1994. Further material is currently uncatalogued. |
| Description | The collection comprises:
Printed reports and publications relating to aspects of adult education. These items discuss: adult education in Australia, West Germany, Rhodesia and Nyasaland (now Zimbabwe), Kenya, and the UK; aspects of extra-mural education provided by universities; the use of television, radio and other audio-visual media in adult education; and printed reports and meeting papers of international adult education and library organisations.
