DescriptionThe collection includes personal accounts, correspondence, diaries and other personal papers. Many of the personal papers relate to William Drury Nathaniel Drury-Lowe (1828-1906) but also present is a small group of illuminated scrolls and addresses which were presented to Major General Drury Curzon Drury-Lowe (1830-1908) on the occasion of his return from the Egyptian Campaign.

The estate papers relate particularly to the Denby and Spondon estates and there are a number of papers relating to local interests such as the Derbyshire Transvaal War Fund, Derbyshire Royal Infirmary and the Derbyshire Public House Trust Company. Also present are a number of papers relating to Derbyshire County Council, of which William Drury-Lowe was a member.
