Content Description	Inspeximus and confirmation of royal charter of Henry VI from original grant of Henry III [8 Hen. III and 37 Hen. III] to Knights Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem of liberties and customs; paragraph relating to liberty of tolls at bridges on f 2r is underlined. Relates to Ossington where the Knights Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem enjoyed lordship in pure alms with all temporal and spiritual privileges until dissolution of the monasteries. Includes unattached vessica shaped seal with original parchment tag. Endorsed with note 'Mr Cartwright Copy of the Charter 1 Hen. 6 1423'.
