Content DescriptionFile concerning appointments to various chairs in the medical school. Includes typed lists of candidates for the chairs of biochemistry, community health, human morphology, medicine and pathology with marks by each candidates name showing if their c.v.'s and references have been received and if they have been shortlisted; further typed lists of candidates for the said chairs containing additional information about the candidates present position, qualifications, marital status and age, with annotations added in biro; proforma letter inviting applications; correspondence concerning the advertisement of posts; details of the number of applicants for the foundation chairs; suggested procedure for appointing to the foundation chairs; lists of interested applicants who have visited Nottingham; lists of short-listed and unsuccessful candidates.

The six foundation chairs of the Medical School were Physiology (on the appointment of Professor Greenfield this was coupled with the Deanship), Human Morphology, Medicine, Pathology, Biochemistry and Community Health.
