Content DescriptionExpresses his regret at the continued illness of Madame Bentinck; hopes that she will soon improve, and also expresses the concern of the elector [of Brandenburg]; refers to an attached 'obligation' expressing willingness to make any changes desired.

Informs him that M. de Cruystberg is writing to the Prince of Orange about matters in Münster by that post; states that the elector [of Brandenburg] favours Reck [for the vacant Bishopric of Münster], naming the few people who actually know of this fact; informs him that Cruystberg is leaving the day after tomorrow and will go via Münster to try to help Reck, and then on further to get the cardinal [Fürstenberg?] to do his utmost to bar the Bishop of Breslau [from the position]; comments that Spaen, who was working for the latter, was informed by the last post and by this, not to involve himself in the election; makes a reference in Dutch to Wachtendonck; says a letter from the elector to the Prince of Orange will come by the next post; adds a post script stating that Mr Ham has still not given him the cipher, and explaining that this is why he has written as he has.
