Content DescriptionHas been absent from London and has therefore had no opportunity to meet with Mr Green regarding the Boroughbridge election; states that his bad health has also prevented him from acting; advises the duke to evict those tenants who voted for Mr Lawson; gives advice on how the evictions may be carried out legally; suggests that Mr Collins, the Steward of the Manor, should be asked to either refrain from acting on behalf of Mr Lawson or leave the duke's employment; discusses the money which Mr Lawson has reputedly given to those of the duke's tenants who voted for him; advises the duke to present the facts before a committee in parliament and have Mr Lawson charged with bribery.
