Content DescriptionExpressing concern that an armed combination existed in the county of Nottingham, inciting people to violations of the peace and the overthrow of the government; emphasising that the law should be rigorously enforced; referring to Act 60 Geo 3 Chapter 1, and quoting from the preamble of the Act that anyone engaged in insurrection if convicted would be liable to the highest penalties of the law. Finally stating that the Government were unwilling to recommend any alterations of the existing laws.
