Content DescriptionSaying that his instructions regarding Constables, Special Constables, and Watchmen had been adopted by the Sessions and that records be kept of their duties. The inability to suppress the printed letter to accompany the aforementioned petition. On advice to the framework knitters' Attorney, and on reaction to the ingratitude expressed in the petition by the Common Council against the Orders in Council. Observing that, whilst the subversion of principles had been achieved, they had not achieved the confidence nor the respect of the people. Reference to an enclosed letter.
