Mi 4 E 144/2: Newspaper cutting with advertisement stating that the Kelham coal area is for sale for a term of 60 years from 1 Jul. 1908.

Mi 4 E 144/3: Newscutting from the 'Scotsman' dated 18 Oct. 1909, entitled 'Coal Found Near Newark'. Concerns the discovery of coal at Kelham near Newark, and a proposed colliery to be sited nearby.

Mi 4 E 144/4: Copy of a mining lease from the Trustees and Mortgagee of the Kelham Estate to The Coal and Iron Development Syndicate Ltd, dated 4 Aug. 1910 (4 ff).

Mi 4 E 144/7: Newspaper cutting concerning a License granted by the British Government to bore for oil in the Kelham Estate. Undated.

Mi 4 E 144/8: Newscutting concerning borings in the Nottinghamshire coalfield. Includes a section concerning deep borings at Kelham and South Leverton commenced in 1908. States that the successful borings had led to further boring operations at Farnsfield, Kirklington, Bilsthorpe, and Wellow.

Mi 4 E 144/9-10: Newscuttings concerning the erection of the new Abel Collin Charity almshouses on Derby Road near Bramcote, Nottingham. One is from the 'Nottingham Evening Post' 19 Dec. 1936, the other is unidentified.
