Lease from (1), (2) and (3) to (4) of the Kilburn coal seam underlying 13 acres 3 roods 17 perches of land in Cossall, consisting of an area of 12 acres 3 roods and 14 perches underneath fields coloured green on the accompanying plan, and 1 acre and 3 perches lying underneath the canal and towing path. Supplemental to principal indenture dated 28 November 1890. Subject to the same term and rents as the princpal indenture.

Includes plan showing the property in question coloured green, being land lying between the Nottinham Canal and Short Wood.

Mi 3 E 178/2-21: Correspondence dated 1900-1904, concerning a dispute over the ownership of minerals underlying the area of land in question in relation to the lease. Notably includes the following: Two plans of the boundaries of Trowell and Cossall parishes, showing Cossall glebe, Trowell glebe, land owned by Lord Middleton, and disputed area of land lying next to the Nottingham Canal. Also shows the altered course of the road, and Robinets Cut [Mi 3 E 178/21/6 and Mi 3 E 178/21/11].
