Content DescriptionExplains that the Earl of Lincoln has lost his seat in Parliament due to his support for Sir Robert Peel's government and the opposition of his father; passes a resolution agreeing to support the Earl of Lincoln, should Mr Baird resign his seat in his favour; says it is understood that Lincoln will not offer himself as a candidate at the general election so that Mr Wilson may stand; understands that Mr Baird has accepted the Chiltern Hundreds.
