Content DescriptionDiscusses the problems he has had evicting tenants who were given notice to quit at the 'present Lady Day'; has tried to be of most assistance to those who voted for Mr Sadler and Mr Wilde at the last election; submits the request of Mr Thorpe to remain as tenant, despite having voted for Willoughby; suggests the duke bring 'ejectments' against those tenants who continue to 'overhold' and requests instructions in the event of a dissolution of parliament; discusses the services he would be able to provide for an election; submits a request for a subscription for the benefit of Mr John Orm Norton who is experiencing severe financial difficulties.

Adds in a post script that Mr Godfrey 'does not like the Reform Bill'; refers briefly to the case of Mr Gillson and whether he will be allowed anything for the improvements made to the premises from which he has been ejected.
