Content DescriptionList of the inhabitants of Newark 'who pay or ought to pay Scot and Lot and where they live'; includes details of the owners of the houses in which they reside and an account of 'some connexions or obligations which such Inhabitants have'; there is an index at the rear of the volume; it is presumed that the document was a form of political inventory created during the period of transition at Newark from the 1st Duke of Newcastle to his nephew and heir who became the 2nd Duke.

This document is not dated, the date is based upon the identification of the vicar of Newark, Mayor of Newark and lack of presence of Wilson Street which was constructed in 1766.
